An Appeeling Display

Brittany and I were pretty stumped when it came to how to tie <a href=”http://hafuboti.wpcomstaging.com/2014/04/14/the-very-happy-caterpillar/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>The Very Hungry Caterpillar decor into our Great Wall-o-Pun. I have to give complete credit to Brittany for putting it all together and it being totally awesome. She realized that the pun should be food related, and the books featured the same. Brilliant. Then she came up with the pun. “I find these books appeeling.” YES. Banana in a top hat. ZOMG!!!

She had found this image

and translated it to the book world.

Ready? I present the display that makes me smile every time I see it. Seriously. A banana in a top hat, with monocle, and mustache. SMILES.

LOVE SO MUCH!!! (if you couldn’t tell)

I must give you a better look at at the banana:

Both Brittany and I agree that he reminds us of Heisenberg. Like. Heisenbanana. And yes, we laughed at that forever since we’re the only ones at the Children’s Library who’d watched Breaking Bad. (Peeling Bad? Anyone?).

There’s a reason that she oversees our Great Wall-O-Pun.

(Just in case you’re curious, the lettering is from <a href=”http://dafont.com” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>dafont.com - sorry I don’t know the exact font, she colored it using crayons, and the banana is all colored pencil)
